Jared Leto and Jimmy Fallon performed a bizarre and hilarious Intense Staredown sketch on Wednesday, August 20’s Tonight Show — and then turned the studio into a barbers!

In the bizarre skit, the Oscar-winning actor and show host Fallon wore matching robes and identical long hair for their rendition of wise mountain men, who do nothing but stare into the camera while offering up nonsense statements on a pre-recorded audio.

“Sexual energy emanates from my epidermis, I smell of ocean birds,” proclaimed an appropriately intense Leto.

“I am a snow leopard, my grunts are my music,” replied Fallon, keeping his stare steady.

“I’ve spoken to the earth, I’ve crawled through the trenches,” offered back Leto. “This is their message, ‘Haters Gonna Hate.'”

But it was his final declaration and synchronized chest baring that really sent the audience wild. “I am unicorn,” he announced. “Stroke my horn, feel my power,” as he grabbed at his robes and stripped off to reveal impressively chiseled pecs.

After the bizarre sketch, Leto sat down for an interview with Fallon, but talking wasn’t high on the agenda.

“I’d take the beard down a notch,” Fallon told his guest, directly.

“I have been asked to do some resurrections lately,” Leto replied referencing his Jesus-like appearance.

Fallon then pulled out some clippers and proceeded to trim the actor’s beard.

“Right here, right now? Holy s–t!” Leto exclaimed before admitting the talk show host was actually pretty nifty with the clippers. “You trim my bush really good,” he joked when Fallon was done.
