Minority Report TV Series

A TV series adaptation of Minority Report is being worked on, according to The Wrap and Deadline. Tom Cruise
fronted the big screen version and is widely regarded as one of his
best (at least of the last couple decades). The adaptation of a 1956
Philip K. Dick short story The Minority Report is about a
future society where police can apprehend criminals before they’ve even
committed their crimes based on information from psychics called
precogs. The central theme of the film was the battle between free will
and determinism.http://ift.tt/1ttDPjM

Well received by critics and fans alike, Minority Report
took over $358 million at the worldwide box office and is one of the
early millennium’s sci-fi classics — a rare combination of enthralling
action and a decent plot.

Godzilla writer Max Borenstein
rumored to be involved. At this stage little is known about the format,
but the success of other film to TV adaptations such as Fargo may encourage Amblin to push forward. Along with HBO’s upcoming Westworld series, the sci-fi landscape on the small screen looks to be improving.
